OptiServer, released in 1986, is UNIX-based storage management software for archiving and accessing mission critical data.
OptiServer Customers
Many organizations such as NASA, Merrill Lynch, the Federal Election Commission and leading lottery organizations depend on OptiServer to archive and manage their sensitive and mission critical data.
How it Works
OptiServer enables compliance by writing data directly to a WORM disk for legal admissibility. There is no learning curve as OptiServer allows use of "already familiar" system commands and security features of the UNIX operating system to store data on optical media and jukeboxes.
Supported Systems
OptiServer operates on the HP-UX, Tru64 and SUN Solaris platforms supporting various removable media such as Magneto-Optical (MO), CD and DVD, in both WORM and Re-Writable formats.
